Bloom Where You Are Planted Papercut

Spring is officially here and to celebrate I created this papercut design incorporating blossom from our local trees. We had our first official walk without our coats on, yes it was that warm on the forest! Here's to the lighter evenings and longer days.... and more paper cutting!

When Only a Hot Brew Will Do

Yes another tea themed template coming soon! You could add a name on the tea bag label (like Mum or Dad) or your favourite brew (mines Dorset Tea!). As with all my tea designs I loved cutting this one out, and this one was quite easy compared to some I have done recently. The only tricky bit was the flowers on the cup. Available soon as a template to cut yourself and will fit an A4 frame.

New Beginnings Easter / New Baby Papercut

This has to be one of my most enjoyable paper cuts to date. The fascination with details and creating the right feel for this design was inspired by the nesting song thrushes we can hear in our garden and watch amongst the trees in the new forest. This will be available soon as a template, Its A4 in size and would make the perfect give for a new baby to hang on a nursery wall!

More tea inspiration

As you have discovered over the years I have a fondness with a cup of tea and if features regularly in my designs. Recently I drew up some new sketches for a papercut to celebrate World Book Day along with another couple of designs that will be turned into a papercut soon. I hope you like them, here are a few images of my sketches and ideas.

Exploring our 'Happy' place

We live in the heart of the New Forest, Hampshire and spend many hours each day walking, exploring and discovering the forest while walking Poppy our golden retriever. I've been wanting to create a design that is inspired by our favourite and 'happy' place we go back to time and time again, Wilverly Inclosure and the open spaces around it. Its just magical there no matter what the season, there is always something on offer with plenty of wildlife to discover and beautiful woodlands that can really capture your imagination. Our daughter Emilia calls it the 'Gruffalo' place as it really does feel and look like the illustrations from the book!

Explore, Dream, Discover sketch from our visits will be turned into a papercut soon I'm sure, I have a few more on the drawing pad to show when finished!

Spring is in the Air

A new papercut template is a now available, 'Bloom, Grow, Blossom' featuring lots of lovely flowers from the garden. I'd love to turn this into a colouring in sheet or add colour infills to the actual papercut, but that will have to wait as I have so many commissions on my books now and other personal projects to complete ready to add to my shop! Here are a few images and a link to the PDF in my Etsy shop:

Do What You Love, Sewing Themed Papercut

With Mother's day fast approaching and my sketch book bursting with new designs, Ive finally got round to finishing this latest design which could work perfectly for an alternative Mother's Day gift! Finished size will fit a standard Ikea Ribba Frame and would look lovely with infills, but that will have to wait another day for me to try!
